Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson (1758â1805) is considered one of the greatest commanders in British naval history. This biography, published in 1809 with the approval of his family, ran into many editions and is now reissued from the 1840 version. Volume 3 covers Nelson's final years and tragic death.
